Ceramic and Felt Installation 160cm x 80cm. HUNGER GAMES is a mosaic installation in the abstract, geometric tradition. HUNGER GAMES is three dimensional: Each colour group is protruding in incremental steps to create depth and movement. It explores the physical, emotional dimensions and history of BREADFRUIT. The artwork will serve as the centrepiece of a new five-piece body of work Polynesian Series aimed at exhibition in Australia and internationally.
For the creation of the ceramic and felt tiles I will collaborate with master artisans from Marrakech, Morocco:
